Fifth Avenue is at the left. William Whitson\u2019s real estate office is outlined in red (and enlarged above). His \u201cHillcrest Company\u201d sold lots from a 40-acre subdivision bordered by First to Sixth and University to Lewis. This part of a little town with a big future (then known as University Heights) had a new name \u2014 Hillcrest was born. On\u00a0<strong>Thursday, August 2nd<\/strong>\u00a0at noon a community birthday cake to celebrate our first 100 years was served at Fifth &amp; University near the site of Whitson\u2019s tract office by his great great granddaughter Amy Whitson and her children Alyssa and Robbie.
